This collection contains the lists of prisoners in the Flossenbürg Concentration Camp in Germany. This index was created in the 1950s with the intention to be used as evidence against camp administrators and guards that were on trial for war crimes. The database was created from two microfilm reels. Records include prisoners’ name, prisoner number, nationality, date of admission to Flossenbürg, and date of death if prisoner died at the camp

This collection has been provided to MyHeritage by JewishGen, Inc., an independent organization, which retains all rights, title, and interest in the data. © 2021 JewishGen, Inc. It later became the center of a network of concentration camps in World War II. An approximate number of 100,000 prisoners, Jews from Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Poland who arrived from the east in late 1944 and early 1945, were held and forced to work at the concentration camp, most of whom died there.
