Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th President of the United States, the only president to serve two non-consecutive terms. Born in 1837 in Caldwell, New Jersey, he built a reputation as an honest, independent leader during his time as mayor of Buffalo and governor of New York. After leaving the presidency, Cleveland retired to Princeton, New Jersey, where he remained active in public affairs. He passed away there in 1908 and is buried in Princeton Cemetery.
